Question one: Teaching focuses more on the formal side of learning and coaching helps someone get better at something and achieve a final goal. Mentoring on the other hand is more personal and can involve more experience and its a more supprotive and emotional guidance.
Question two: It is important to know the difference to know in which situation they need to be used.
Activity: Teach them the steps, coach them on what the steps should actually look like and mentor them in if they need extra help whether that is setting up extra help with them to coach them and help them achieve it. Give them extra resources for help such as videos and one on one sessions.
